The app's rules

The site describes the rules as the 5 Dice app applies them, as read in its code. When the app makes a choice of its own (a Penta accepted as a Full House, automatic entry of the last roll), it is stated on the rules page.

How the examples are verified

Every roll, count and game on the site is checked by a program before publication:

  • points for each box, dice that count and joker cases calculated by the app's engine, without modifying it;
  • the same points recalculated by a second program, written from the rule: the two must agree;
  • the 7776 possible rolls of 5 dice counted by both programs;
  • the games replayed roll by roll by the second program, with the same dice rolls and the same choices as the app's computer player;
  • figures from the app (dice, rolls, turns, boxes, bonuses, players, languages) checked against its code.
