5 Dice five dice, three rolls

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can you roll the dice?

Up to 3 times per turn, keeping the dice you want between rolls. You can stop earlier and score the result after the first roll.

The turn

What if no box fits?

Pick an open box and write zero in it: it is lost for the rest of the game. It is better to sacrifice a box that scores little, like Aces, than one that can score a lot.

How do you get the upper bonus?

You need at least 63 points in the 6 upper boxes. The bonus is worth 35 points. Three dice of each value is just enough.

The upper bonus

What is a Penta?

Five identical dice. It is worth 50 points in its box, and each further Penta earns a 100-point bonus if that box already holds 50. On the first roll, it comes up in 6 rolls out of 7776.

Where do you score a second Penta?

In the upper box for its value if it is open; otherwise in an open lower box, where the full house is worth 25, the small straight 30 and the large straight 40. This is the joker rule, which the app applies by itself by refusing the other boxes.

Can you play with several people?

Yes, on the same device: from 1 to 5 human players, with up to 3 computer players. Each player has their own column on the sheet and turns follow one another.

Does a Penta count as a full house?

In the app, yes: five identical dice are worth 25 points in the Full House box, even without a joker. This is a choice made by the app, which some rules do not make.
